Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio touched upon Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk's true nature. This comes after the debut scores for Daredevil: Born Again on Rotten Tomatoes were revealed.

Cox and D'Onofrio brought this subject up in an interview with TV Insider, with Cox professing, "I think change is possible. I think it’s really hard. The things about oneself that can be changed are normally the ones you don’t want to change or there’s great resistance to change. I think with Matt, speaking for him… he gets confused with what he can change and what he needs to deny about himself. And there's elements that can’t be denied."

D'Onofrio went on to further note that the characters' inability to change is "the only thing that makes us similar really," adding, "It's a struggle for [Wilson Fisk] to have a spotlight on him, to be in the daylight rather than in the dark where he prefers. And so it’s a struggle."

How Long Will Daredevil: Born Again Go On?

Putting the spotlight on Daredevil: Born AgainCox teased his MCU future in May, avouching at the time that there will "definitely come a time where [he's] not able to do it anymore." He further asserted, "But, for right now, just keep doing the best job we can and loving it. I feel incredibly grateful to continue making the show and, hopefully, we got another 10 years in us."

Tying into that, Cox delved into Matt Murdock's MCU future after Daredevil: Born Again in January, conveying, "Normally, when you go into your tenth year playing a character, you're winding down, but we're going the other way. It would be interesting to know what gives up first, Marvel's faith in us or our bodies." Cox also revealed how long he wants to keep playing Daredevil in the MCU, affirming, "They're [Marvel] getting ready to release a comic that takes place where Matt Murdock is in his 60s, so I was like, 'Oh, okay, great, so we got some time.'"

More recently, Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane touched upon fighting for Karen and Foggy's return, declaring that one can't do this show without Karen and Foggy. Tying into this, Karen Page actor Deborah Ann Woll celebrated her character's return. Before that, Woll addressed Karen and Foggy's return in Born Again, avowing that sometimes when one has been away from a role for a while and they return to it, it can feel a bit like "you're doing an impression of yourself." She went on to further avouch, "I was worried about that, but I think because the three of us have such an easy give-and-take, that allowed it to be very natural and fall right into place."
